Guest guest
Marie- Anything you can do to get the whole handout posted would be appreciated. I also have chlamydia p. and would love to have anything which would lessen the herx. Are you doing the Stratton or Wheldon protocals for the infection: ie doxy + zith + pulses of flagyl? I know about the MP etc and using blood pressure meds but I had never seen Zestril mentioned. I didn't know the difference in BP meds. I wondered why if he was perscribing BP meds that he did not perscribe Benicar. Zestril is being perscribed as part of a comprehension plan to reduce of get rid of endotoxins. This such greek to me. I think it should be mandatory for anyone to go to med school or at the very least take a chemistry class before they could become ill with one of these chronic infections. My Dr. is good about explaining things. He provides handouts along the way. I have hard time processing everything he says so I appreciate the handout. This is what this had out says. Both Chlamydia and Mycoplasma (I have been dx with both) release endotoxins while they are alive and much more is released when they are killed with antibiotics. Elevated endotoxin levels are associated with neaurotoxicity(anxiety, insomnia, cognitive impairment), endocrine changes (hypotension, lowbodytemp) euthyroid syndrome, HPA dysfunction) and inflammation. Endotoxin is responsible for septic shock and has been linked to asthma, diarrhea, low blood pressure, muscle pain and nerve toxicity. The following measures can be taken to minimixe the impact of endotoxin. Number 2 on the handout lists: 2.) Bolcking NF kappa B and Angiotension with ACE inhibitors/nutrition. a.) Zestril (lisinopril) 10-40mg. INcrease gradually, ACE inhibition reduces headache, anxiety, depression and appetite. lLowers NF kappa B activity which controls inflammation. Perhaps if I have time I will figure out how to scan a copy of the protocol so you can see his logic as he draws pictures also. He is a young Dr. who is constantly studying how best to treat Fibromyalgia. The protocol is comprehensive. I know I am responding to his treatment ideas but it is really a full time job. Almost every hour I have to be thinking about what pill or supplement to pop into my mouth. I feel fortunate to have him. Marie
