Guest guest
Well, this am I awoke to a full blown nasty cold- sore high up in my throat - where the adenoids are, mucous going down the back of my throat, head ache, fatigued, swollen gland in my neck.. never thought I'd be so happy to come down with a cold. (If indeed that's what this is). I think this is the first cold I can remember. Gonna try the Tagamet cure tomorrow (I'll let you know how it goes). Guest guest
Geez Barb, are we sharing a body? I too have the salty slime running down my throat and a " cold " feeling. Alas, for me I think, it's just mold allergy. We are in rainy season here in the desert. Mold everywhere. *S* > Well, this am I awoke to a full blown nasty cold- > sore high up in my throat - where the adenoids are, > mucous going down the back of my throat, head ache, > fatigued, swollen gland in my neck.. > never thought I'd be so happy to come down with a cold. > (If indeed that's what this is). > > I think this is the first cold I can remember. > Gonna try the Tagamet cure tomorrow (I'll let you know how it goes). > > Barb
Guest guest
Sue: Well maybe! I have some bug I caught somewhere - it's not official flu because I have no lung involvement, but chills, temp 100 deg F, body aches, nasty stuff coming from my adenoids, high up sore throat, stiff neck, head ache.. This is way early in this part of the country for flu anyway. A dose of magnesium got rid of the headache, and I'm not working today - am still going to try the tagamet but haven't gotten to the drug store yet. Symptoms are similar to Parvo B19 (sans the rash) but I know I've already had that.. I'm just happy it's not a Lyme relapse. Guest guest
Barb, many people here in Europe are down with a (probably) viral throat thing. The ones I know are staying away from me they know better than to come anywhere near my place with anything infectious and contagious, since I always catch every viral thing and can't overthrow it for weeks and weeks. But I have spoken to them on the phone and they didn't sound too good. It is extremely early for these viral respiratory things to be starting. Do you have any Tamiflu handy, just in case? I have bought a couple of packets in anticipation for the upcoming 'flu season (hope the dreaded avian 'flu doesn't hit). Hope you feel better soon, glad it is not a Lyme relapse too, for your sake and for all our sakes as you're one of the few people we all look up to, someone who is living proof that it is possible to get well after Lyme and co, even after you've discontinued abx. Rest well Nelly [infections] Re: Relapse? (false alarm?)
