I had my basement flood a couple of

years ago, February storm and the ground was frozen solid, so it found

it's way into my basement. I have a sub-pump, but the darn thing

died during the flood. Mold grew very quickly from the dampness.

I had remedial cleanup done. The fella said mold can't grow

if there's a constant flow of air, so he told me to invest in some oscillating

fans, I turn them on low and it does the trick. I also have one that

goes in a crawl space that sometimes get damp, it's stationary, and he

said to place it on an angle at one wall and it'll bounce off the other

walls and keep a constant flow of air. A lot cheaper than water/mold

cleanup. I also have a dehumidifier and a new subpump!

I spent a lot of time the basement frantically

sweeping the water into the subpump, a lot of mold grew every where and

I was exposed to it for a long time, (I didn't feel well after that) since

then I've had issues w/my sinus's/eye's hurt; feels like a sinus infection,

I've been back 'n forth the the ENT, he says he doesn't see a sinus infection.

I believe I have a fungal infection,

has anyone dealt w/this issue? I read a post earlier about someone

using colloidal silver drops in the eye and I believe DMSO. Do you

think I could put either of these into a sinus/eye areas to kill the infection?

Thanks!

Hi MJ,

You should be able to rent a large ozone machine... Placing it in the area

for several hours to a day two should be all that is needed to kill off

the mold... I am not sure MMS can give off enough vapors to rid a big area..

When you use ozone, close off the room, crank up the machine and don't

let anyone enter until ready to turn the machine off... Then open windows

and vacate the room for 15 minutes, allowing the ozone to clear out..

Another thing you might want to try as a short term solution, is spraying

hydrogen peroxide (H202) full strength on to the mold... You can by 32

oz bottles at Wal Mart pharmacy, then buy an empty 32 oz spray bottle at

WalMart, remove the sprayer and place it on the H202 bottle and spray...

Some think bleach is also good, it isn't as it is toxic - DON'T USE!...

White vinegar also is good, spray just like you would H202... The H202

or vinegar will kill off a lot of the mold, but ozone by far is the very

best as it will kill in all nooks and crannies.. You may also be able to

hire someone to use an ozone machine to do this for you, look in the Yellow

pages and try calling your health department for a reference... It will

cost more than renting... And all you need to do is crank up the ozone

machine, leave the room and close all doors and windows, hardly worth paying

someone to do this...

Moisture causes mold... A good dehumidifier is something you may want to

invest in.. This will help keep the mold from coming back and make your

basement and home much healthier....

AND YES! Mold does make you sick, very sick and may be adding to your Lyme

symptoms...

Take care,

Jim

Hi ,I regularly drop CS in my eyes for dry eye, which has become much less of a problem than it used to be.When I had uveitis I added DMSO to the CS which reduced the inflammation faster than the prescription creme i'd been given years before by an opthamologist. That said, I soon noticed that after the clearing of the uveitis, my eyes were still feeling more dry and irritated than usual, and I think it was the DMSO in the drops. Even though I'd reduced the proportion after the inflammation had faded, I know that DMSO is drying on other parts of the body, and I think it was no longer useful.. Yesterday I returned to just CS and my eyes feel easy and comfortable. I'd never want to be responsible for anyone else trying DMSO in their eyes, even though it worked for me. I'm a lab-rat, not a doctor!I've had very good luck with CS in a cleaned-out Afrin mister, shooting it up into my sinuses whenever the winter stuffiness started up. I don't know how effective it is on fungus, but it certainly didn't hurt me and I'd never travel without it; especially air travel, to protect my sinus membranes from air-borne pathogens.Be well,Léna I had my basement flood a couple of years ago, February storm and the ground was frozen solid, so it found it's way into my basement. Hi ,This exact scenario happened to my husband. He did mold clean-up from roof damage in our house. I took the kids elsewhere while he cleaned and he developed a nasty chronic sinus problem. Here's one way to attack the problem: Get a gadget called "Nasaline" (which is a syringe with a silicon nose bulb at the end). You can buy a Nasaline at the Vitamin Shoppe. Load the syringe with colloidal silver, do a slight bend over a sink, press one nostril closed with one hand, gently and slowly shoot the colloidal silver up the other nostril while emitting a sound (like ahhhh). Breathe through your mouth while doing this. When the sinus cavity is good and full (it feels really weird), swish the CS around the sinus and hold it in as long as you can stand it (if the cavity is good and full, the CS leaks out of your eyeballs!). Let it out into the sink. Then do the other nostril and repeat this daily until your infection is gone (2-3 days??). The process does burn a bit but it's well worth the outcome. A friend of mine has had horrible mold/fungus/sinus issues, and MCS and Lyme and friends. The two things that have helped her the most have been coiling her sinuses and raw garlic - like 4-6 cloves per day. She's finally able to blow all kinds of stuff out.

I used CS at 100% in the nasaline.... no water. Before my husband's issue with the mold, I had used the nasaline with CS after contracting a nasty sinus infection (not related to mold exposure). Sovereign Silver was the brand that I used at the time. I've never had any problems with my sinus since the treatment, which I only did for 2-3 days. It burned quite a bit, but it was also 100% effective with no adverse side effects except the temporary burning feeling. It's definitely not a fun procedure. To be honest, my husband with the mold in his sinus refused to use the nasaline for his problem because he's a big baby. I cured his sinus infection with homeopathy, but I didn't mention this because it's not a cut-and-dry, one-size-fits-all type of intervention.Lydia hi lydia 100 percent cs and not cs mix w water? i have already put some cs in the water and tried it but not all cs. i have nasaline irrigator... just checking before i tried it carol > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > , , Marsha and all, > > > > > > Yes, I have a severe mold problem in my home.
