Guest guest
I accidentally posted this to the "ear discussion", but it is regarding MOLD....Marsha MJ, After telling you about the ultraviolet light to kill mold, I remembered that we also did the ozone, but left while it was on. The hospital where I work just got a new machine for disasters (flooding, etc.) that has the UV light and ozone combined in one machine. You turn it on for 72 hours, but LEAVE the premises. I have a small UV light with a fan (It is about 6" in diameter and about 2 feet tall) that I got a Home Depot or Lowe's for about $40. When we did remediation, I studied up on it and borax (Twenty Mule team) with water applied to the walls, etc. was what was most effective because the borax dries out the cell walls of the mold. We also used the special filters ($20 or so) in our A/C. I have Dr. Schaller's book on remediation but can't put my hands on it right now. If there is any way that you can get Dr. Ritchie Shoemaker's MOLD WARRIORS book you should! It has so much info regarding neurotoxins produced by mold and lyme as well. I have hundreds of books and this is one of the most informative. I've worked in a lab for a long time, but this is the book that showed me which lab tests that I needed. Hope this helps and good luck with your dr.'s appt! You must stop if you get shooting pains n stuffy headed not to be confused with "normal" stuffy ness. Permanent hearing loss can result! I waaaayyyy upped my teasel and then I read something I think on the WI lyme group that said this can happen. Still trying to find it.Will look again. Thanks all for help on mold.
