Guest guest
Hi Barb and Penny, I have been ill for so long with infections that my brain will only allow for me to take but a few medications. I tried Benicar over a year ago and could not take it because of the headaches in spite of being told that the headache would go away after being on the Benicar - not so with me. The neurologist says that I have constant migraines but I believe it is infections. You mentioned other modulators what are they? I have been trying oxygen to help my headaches and even oxygen gives me a worse headache. I have sleep apnea and am trying oxygen with my c-pap machine. The therapy group said they had never heard of it making headaches worse. Penny, you answered me last week when I mentioned the bump on my gun after having two teeth extracted and you gave me good advice about not going to a dentist that has a machine to diagnose. I tend to jump on anything to help my situation. Can't write everything that's wrong but have been to all kinds of Drs. including Lyme. He but me on Flagyl for a while and it didn't bother me maybe I will try to get another prescription from my present Dr. I take Augmention constantly to keep my headaches down. It is one of the few antibiotics that I can take the others make my head worse. I recently had minor knee surgery and had an infection that Augmention wouldn't kill the Dr. finally did a culture and said it was Strep and had to take Zit to kill it but said to stop taking it as soon as my knee stopped draining and the incision on my knee still hurts and thing I should have taken more Zit, it also gives me a worse headache after the fourth day. Any advice would be appreciated. H. From: "Barb Peck" <egroups1bp@...>Subject: Re: Anti-stress & anti-anxiety effects of angiotensin II AT1 receptor antagonist This makes alot of sense. And to tie it (the brain) in with the terrible bone-like pain I expereinced with Lyme (which I came to believe was peripheral nerve pain of the extremeties)... that pain could turn off and on like a light switch... so I though the brain was involved -just didn't have the knowledge or the drugs to fight it back then. This is why the idea of using a modulator (like Benicar, HCQ or some other) is so important.. as G says, modulate certain cells (microglia in the brain) and use the right abx at the right dose and you just may get those buggers.Barb
