nitroimidazoles

My take (not empirical but looking at the Brorson papers which finds

Bb helices invulnerable to nitroimidazoles) is that I need to couple

my nitros with something that will definitely hit the brain in case

any borrelial helices crop up there, or for that matter any other

form that may not be too vulnerable to the nitros because of having

too much oxygen.

Stratton and/or Wheldon cleverly point out that protein synth

inhibitors can attenuate the DNA repair response, thus increasing

the chances fladg/tini will do mortal damage to the DNA. My

perspective on that is that if synth inhibitors were successfully

shutting down the bugs synth, we should probably all be cured after

a month of doxy. Still, it could well be that synth inhibitors do

slow down synth (and thus DNA repair) substantially enough for this

synergy with nitros to be realized.

I think there may be more on nitros re Cpn that I havent read about.

I havent even read the Stratton patent yet but I will.
