Female combat soldier died

Many Canadians support the war effort in Afghanistan and Canadians are

proud of their soldiers serving in this Country. We belive it is an

important contribution to democracy.

I am writing about it here since we have many female members and also

since Steve is a soldier himself. Capt. Goddard's service is an

inspiration to many people who want to change and make better things

in this world.

Canada's Armed forces lost a female combat soldier, and the first

woman from Canada to die in combat since the second world war (WWII).

Capt. Nichola Goddard, 26, was killed Wednesday during a battle with

the Taliban outside of Kandahar.
