Guest guest
Helen, this is not an easy subject. First thing, having mercury amalgams removed can make you sicker if you're already pretty ill. My doc recommends waiting even on chelation, until you're stronger. Of course, each case is different, but don't allow yourself to be talked into anything without lots of research. Second, if the expensive equipment the doc has is a CAVITAT imaging device, be very cautious. My personal experience and research has shown these to be unreliable diagnostic tools, difficult to duplicate their results. Also, they tend to show numerous problem areas and are used as justification for major dental surgery. If this doc has an imaging device that's used for dental implants, that could be more useful, and insurance will generally cover the cost of these kinds of CT scans if they're for diagnostic purposes (but not for " cosmetic " purposes). Be very, very cautious. Do a lot of homework and find a good team of doctors before doing anything drastic. There's a lot to learn. I know people who've had the full body scan you're talking about. They're better than the Cavitat, IMO, but don't give you the whole picture either. However, considering your report and experience, it's likely that the lit up in your area is a problem. And very good news that other areas of your spine appear to be okay. Now if we could only get such a scan to look at our organs. penny HelenW8262@c... wrote: > Hi, > I have so many health concerns that I don't get around to reading this list very often but today's posts really got my attention. I had two teeth extracted about 8 months ago and afterwards a bump came up on the jaw just under where one tooth was pulled. This dentist says that it is nothing and said he could do a little incision and remove what ever it is but I haven't been back to him. He made me a partial plate and it really serves the purpose but he wants to remove the bump so he can make me a $1,000 partial plate. > > But I had a bone scan a few months ago ( like I said I have a lot of health problems). It is really something, I literally lite up like a Christmas tree, it is full body, even your toes. > The report was good except that it said that there was dental disease on my left jaw and of course that is where the bump is. There is a dentist about 60 miles away that removes silver fillings and has a machine to diagnose problems but expensive. > Where can I real more about what I should do? > Can only take 2 antibiotics one being Augmention, which I take every day for my headaches, think I have Lyme. > Thanks, > H. >
