He has written many invaluable books and is a prominent teacher and practitioner in the states. He has a tremendous knowledge of all aspects of herbalism. The event is on Friday 10th June 2005 in Cambridge Botanic Garden and is open to all qualified herbalists. £60 non-members, £40 members ( includes refreshments, lunch and Botanic garden). The topic is: Effective Clinical Strategies for Cancer - Herbs and Functional Foods A review of scientifically and clinically-based herbs and functional foods for natural programs, either for the prevention of cancer, or as supportive treatment, along with modern medical treatments, or as the sole treatment. The focus will be particularly on breast cancer, uterine cancer, GI cancers, lung cancer, lymphomas, and liver cancer. Promising new herbs and functional foods will be discussed such as ocotillo and medicinal mushrooms, as well as research and clinical applications of well-known specific herbs like chaparral, dandelion, red clover, and burdock.
