Guest guest
I just started this program after recommendations from friends. http://www.settingcaptivesfree.com/lords_table/ It is a bible study and eating plan and a mentor who has done the program is assigned to help you. There is no cost. My 11 year old is doing the kids' program. I was thinking of both of us joining WW, but this is free, and I really don't feel like going to meetings. I got busy and lost touch with Steve's walk and everything else going on.
Guest guest
I feel bad that you reacted that way. I don't think they were trying to shove anything down anyone. They were just saying it was something which worked for them. I feel that whatever works for you is ok to say. As long as it is not actively hurting someone else. They provided a link to something that helped them and no one is forced to go there. It is a choice. Should I yell at someone who does not believe what I believe? NO. I would be yelling all the time! But if I think someone may be helped by something I found I will put it out there. What others do with it is up to them! Sorry if I offend you. Guest guest
Can't you bible-thumpers go ANYWHERE without trying to shove your religion down other people's throats? > > I just started this program after recommendations from friends. > http://www.settingcaptivesfree.com/lords_table/ > > It is a bible study and eating plan and a mentor who has done the > program is assigned to help you. Guest guest
I don't know what your problem is. It wasn't being shoved down anyone's throat. It was an offer and we could read it or not read it. As for Bible Thumpers - If by that you mean someone that reads the Bible. I am GUILTY and I'm proud to be Guilty. I Spent FAR TOO MANY years of my life NOT READING the Bible and didn't know what I was missing. If you haven't tried it don't knock it. At least now I KNOW that there is going to be a Judgment Day FOR EVERYONE and I intend to be on the right side. I pity anyone that is not. Guest guest
I agree! I don't read the Bible very often, but there is so much anti-religious hostility in the United States, it is hard to understand.sbrown857@... wrote: I don't know what your problem is. Guest guest
Bingo. Next time you wonder why people dislike fundies, just re-read your post. Or go look in the mirror. Guest guest
If you consider a mere mention of a bible study as "shoving" one has to label you extremely sensitive. I hate people to be overly agressive about this or any other subject, but can in no way see how this mention could fit any reasonable person's criteria of agressive or shoving a viewpoint. Are you one of those who would ban any opinion but your own? Gee whiz! Calm down!! W.
