Guest guest
Hear, Hear. I consider dentists to be doctors of death. They shouldn't be messing around with the bones in your head. Pulling a rotten tooth is about all they should be allowed to do. They don't understand anything about how vital this region is to all aspects of our health. Talk about recipe for disaster. They know nothing about infection or antibiotics. (And I wish I'd never put braces on my kids. You know, it's not something you think about, not only are braces probably unnecessary in a large percentage of people, they actually change people's faces!) Even deep cleaning below the gum lines (root planing) is now being looked at differently. I mean seriously, damage all that tissue with sharp instruments, cause it to bleed, and introduce all those mouth bacteria into what is now a very vulnerable place. That's a recipe for a heart attack. Literally. Sheesh. I could go on and on with the ways dental practices are bad, bad, bad. There's the norepinephrine they inject to reduce blood flow (and permanently damage the area's ability to have good blood flow). There are all those root canals where they deaden the nerve to stop the pain, and just rinse the area out with abx then seal the area back up to fester (what did that study say, 30% of all root canals are infected?). That's an abscess. People are walking around with abscesses and don't even know it because they don't feel anything, until they start getting sick from the infection that's festering. Mercury fillings always expands over time, cracking teeth. Porcelain crowns that are often actually porcelain veneer over nickel, wihch is worse than mercury, but way better money makers for the dentist, and they never tell you this. I mean, it goes on and on. But I'll stop ranting now. penny > Just curious, why do you think so many of us are infected with so > many bacteria systemically, and ill? > > In my case, a tickbite did me in. > > But I look back at my whole life and here's what I see: first, they > gave me braces and I don't think that's a good idea.
