Guest guest
Speaking of frozen garlic, for those of you who take fish oil capsules and find it has a bad after taste, I freeze the whole bottle and pop as needed, I don't have the after taste like I do when taking them at room temperature. Here's a snack tidbit, buy seedless red or green grapes, wash, dry and freeze, you'll love them as a low cost, low fat dessert or snack. Taste good with fat free whipping cream! Sent by: Lyme_and_Rife We buy organic garlic, sit down and peel and peel and peel then put it in freezer bags and voila, good to go. Can't say enough positive things about garlic. We have bought AliMed, kyolic, you name it and I put my money on frozen garlic any day of the week. I was on heprin SP? and got into trouble with it. Lots of herbs thin blood also. I was eating chunks of organic garlic. It made me feel better, gave me energy, helped with pain, and helped with sinus and brainfog. But also caused me big problem. Guest guest
I think the garlic needs to be fresh. At one of my classes this was discussed and the doc teaching it said to chop or crush it and let it sit for 5 min before using. On the subject of fish oil, Carlson's lemon-flavored is so good that I put it in smoothies and also make a salad dressing out of it. I let a local chef taste it one time (I usually take my own dressings with me) and he was very impressed with the taste (or should I say "lack of" fishy taste! Guest guest
A naturopath friend of mine recommended that I roast garlic, and felt that that was very effective, just thought I would throw that in here because raw garlic is hard to eat. I am not saying I know all the scientific aspects of this, just trying to give you all something do-able! I spread the garlic cloves out in a pan and drip some olive oil over top and roast in the oven until soft and browning. Then I blend it---the consistency of butter. This can keep in the fridge for many days and can be spread on anything. I spread it on my gluten-free crackers and keep the vampires away! Of course many Korean recipes include eating with whole cloves of garlic and a side of ginseng if you are good friends, now that's the way to go!!
