Guest guest
Yikes! Thanks for that reference. It's odd. My 25-D was totally mid range according to the normal reference range, when I tested for it to start the 'protocol that can't be named'. I avoided the sun, and D foods for a couple of months, then resumed my normal D/sun life after dropping the other parts of the protocol (except Benicar). So it's curious that I've since become deficient in D. And what's really odd is that my CRP has always been normal, even when I had so many inflammatory symptoms. Now that the inflammatory symptoms are gone, and Benicar has been blocking the angiotensin II receptors for a good year now, I'm really wondering why this sudden 4 times the normal CRP? And the high risk of a cardiac event. Actually, when I was taking the minocycline, I thought I was having a heart attack one night. I went to the ER the next day. The final dx was a thyroid storm, and I believe it was all caused by the minocycline, which I was trying to stick out while on the aforementioned protocol. I later learned that Minocycline can have some nasty side effects in some people, despite some people's claims to the contrary. I hope screwing up my heart wasn't one of them. Or that the Benicar isn't somehow bringing the heart thing to the forefront. Perhaps the heart has to work harder to maintain the bp and that's causing the symptoms to be more noticeable? This pumping harder was an opinion put forth by more than one doctor, when describing why people are so dizzy and weak in the beginning with Benciar. I'm glad I've been able to reduce my Benicar to 2x daily and still maintaining the benefits. penny > > Speaking of defeciencies and tests, Tony, I got my SpectraCell and > > Igenex test results today. " Hi Penny, this is just a guess, but perhaps the Benicar was just masking the real inflammation (or other aspects of the inflammation, like CRP) or maybe your body was compensating by raising the CRP to balance the effects of the drug? Just guessing of course. My two cents... d. > Yikes! Thanks for that reference. It's odd. Guest guest
I don't know. I mean it's become very obvious to me that whatever's being suppressed has knocked out my migraines, body and joint pain, anxiety, and urgent bladder, among other things. It seems pretty likely that these are inflammatory symptoms. Why my inflammation marker is suddenly high is curious, but I vaguely recall reading in the past why this can occur. In fact, I think our illness somehow suppresses all of the normal markers for illness. At least in CFS. That's what's so maddening about CFS, and the reason we get dx'd with it (a dx of exclusion). Because we have all kinds of nasty symptoms but no markers for anything, so we're told it's all in our heads, we're just over tired, don't get enough exercise, etc. Incredibly frustrating, and ridiculous to think millions of people are just fabricating symptoms. :-( Benicar's the first drug that relieved all of my symptoms, except the fatigue. The abx and diflucan seem to be doing that. In the mean time, my heart seems to be getting weirder, which I'm not too happy about and my guess is probably being exacerbated by the drugs trying to kill the bugs. I've got to find a cardiologist, and find out exactly what's going on. I won't be surprised at all to learn I have this small hole between the two chambers, accounting for the heart irregularities as well as the migraines. I keep thinking if I could get my bp up a bit, and my heart regulated, I would be much less fatigued. I mean the fact that my bp drops on standing, is exactly opposite of normal (hypotension) but is fairly common for PWC and may be a big factor in our fatigue. It's funny, the Tibetan doctor felt my biggest area of concern was my heart, and asked if there were heart disease in the family. That was another disconcerting red flag that is prompting me to see a cardiologist asap. penny > > > > Speaking of defeciencies and tests, Tony, I got my > SpectraCell > > and > > > > Igenex test results today.
