Guest guest
Cool. I read several of Savages papers when Scha learned about this stuff. If theyre chasing MRSA fasciitis it sounds like theyre going for something you can take systemically for at least a while. It seems some drugs of this type can enter host cells... not sure if these particluar ones are among them (also the blood-brain barrier is of interest here). > www.ceragenix.com > > check it out. Guest guest
Cool. But its years away from even topical application . Something that would attack bacteria AND fungi at the same time would be excellent. -- In infections , " Hodologica " <usenethod@y...> wrote: > Cool. I was told it's already being used in patient trials and is awaiting FDA approval. A doctor friend has spoken with the CEO of the company and apparently it's possible for our docs to get the drug on an experimental basis. It hits viruses too, and supposedly has few, possibly no side effects, because it's not bacteriocidal. Works in a completely new way. This would be an amazing advance, if it all pans out. penny
Guest guest
Are you serious? Their website indicates quite differently from my brief review of it--that in 2006 they were going to start topical trials. I guess I can talk to the CEO of the company, I think my doc would try to get it for me. I need something that is both antifungal and antibacterial. I'm going to try an IV h202 on thursday, not that I think its the be all and end all answer, but I've never tried one before. I really can't take any antibiotics for more than a short period because of the fungal problems. That's why, in searching for answers and trying to create products, I've looked for substances that are able to kill both bacteria and fungi. But this looks really interesting too. I had also interviewed the guy who heads that biotech that makes...is it dermomycin or some name like that? Its a water that has been osmotically changed so it creates osmotic shock. I actually took a little internally. The guy said they will work on an IV version over the next few years. Topically it is having good effects. > Totally not true. Guest guest
p.s. penny...geez...if you'd told us about this a few weeks ago, we could've tripled our money. The stock has gone from about a dollar to three dollars...probably because of recent news. but you were on vacation! bad on you! i'll do some more research. thanx. Guest guest
Yes, apparently it's getting a lot of press recently. And strangely, all of the links to the news reports on the site no longer appear to be working (except the one on the triceram). Strange how this always seems to happen when word gets out. They really batten down the hatches. I took the info to my doc. I'm going to see if he'll call the CEO and see if I can perhaps get it on an experimental basis myself. I always need a back up, because it hasn't failed yet that the drugs I'm taking DO begin to fail at some point. If we could find something that won't allow resistance to be built, that would be fantastic. penny p.s. I mistakenly said that it's not a bacteriacidal drug, and meant to say it's not 'bacteriostatic'. But it IS a completely new way of killing the bugs from what I understand. It's even supposed to work against some cancer cells!?! <jenbooks13@h...> wrote: > p.s. penny...geez...if you'd told us about this a few weeks ago, we > could've tripled our money. > The stock has gone from about a dollar to three dollars...probably > because of recent news. > > but you were on vacation! bad on you! > i'll do some more research. thanx. Guest guest
Oh, I thought your doc had already talked to the CEO and could get it? I *would* be kind of surprised there as they could get in trouble if they subvert the long and regular process of bringing a drug through trials to human use. ANd often they do start topically with these new approaches. Somebody like should SKIP THE LYME CONFERENCE and go to the microbiology conference in New Orleans. I looked through all the abstracts and was half tempted myself, because I could meet people there that I might liaison with, but then again, why would they work on my ideas and I already have enough ideas to keep me occupied. I'm real excited because after about six months of dickering around to get to agreements, we've got our agreements and we'll try to make the first product. I have another idea for a second one. But my third idea I fear is a bust unless I can get something to bind to borrelia which I now think I can't. Very disappointing. HORRIBLE. On the other hand it probably WOULD work for babesia. Anyway, off topic but one has to think the stock was shorted down before the announcement on July 22, in order for some people to make big gains (people never notice these little biotechs, they're all buying google and so happy with a triple there, but htis was also a triple and in just a few weeks not a year). That is a bit of a concern only in that there can be such dilution that these biotechs have a hard time getting to where they need to go simply because of $. Even if the idea is good. > > p.s. penny...geez...if you'd told us about this a few weeks ago, > we > > could've tripled our money. > > The stock has gone from about a dollar to three dollars...probably > > because of recent news. > > > > but you were on vacation! bad on you! > > i'll do some more research. thanx. Guest guest
No, it's another doctor, who has lyme disease who spoke with the CEO. I have a copy of his letter, but don't want to post it as it's private. The jist is, people are using this drug already under an experimental designation. Just have to find out how to qualify for that. Didn't sound difficult. Let us know what you find out, or if I find out first (next month I see my own doc again), I'll let you know. Currently, I'm on a good protocol, so I don't feel any urgency. penny > > > p.s. penny...geez...if you'd told us about this a few weeks ago, > > we > > > could've tripled our money. > > > The stock has gone from about a dollar to three > dollars...probably > > > because of recent news. > > > > > > but you were on vacation! bad on you! > > > i'll do some more research. thanx. Guest guest
Yowzee. Do it for all of us who suffer, we feel the urgency! Please...if your doctor has a connection. Or email me privately if you don't mind. I will call too but I'm not linked in any way to the company. The very appealing thing to me here is, I can't take much antibiotics because as I said the fungal effects are horrible. My gut gets totally inflamed, even to the point of ulceration sometimes, and my sinuses and ears totally stuffed, and I can't even eat a single molecule of carbs without reacting. But this one kills candida also! TIA... > > > > p.s. penny...geez...if you'd told us about this a few weeks > ago, > > > we > > > > could've tripled our money. > > > > The stock has gone from about a dollar to three > > dollars...probably > > > > because of recent news. > > > > > > > > but you were on vacation! bad on you! > > > > i'll do some more research. thanx. Guest guest
Yes, of course I'll share anything I learn. My friend is also pursuing this with my doctor and is communicating with the other doctor, so she may figure something out first, and I'll pass it along. However, I'm basically cautious in everything these days, after the huge fiasco with " you know who " that ended me up in court. I'm much more inclined to take a wait-and-see approach before jumping on anything. I especially want to be sure that I'm dealing with people of integrity (and mental health is kind of important too), before taking chances on anyone or any company making big claims. penny > > > > > p.s. penny...geez...if you'd told us about this a few weeks > > ago, > > > > we > > > > > could've tripled our money. > > > > > The stock has gone from about a dollar to three > > > dollars...probably > > > > > because of recent news. > > > > > > > > > > but you were on vacation! bad on you! > > > > > i'll do some more research. thanx. Guest guest
Yeah, I don't know all that much about the broua ha ha just a bit here and there as I never was participating in the marshall protocol. I did talk to the CEO and did pubmed searches last night on microbial peptides and maybe ERic will help, I asked him to try and find something for me or I'll try myself (my proxy server to get into the university library was not working yesterday) You can email me privately--be sure my email isn't blocked as I sent you one. Could you check your blocking list and take mine off if it is (jenbooks13@...) I guess this whole field is pretty interesting though when and where and how is always a question. Meanwhile I've been researching artemisinin vs riamet etc. Seems to me if you took arteminisin every 3-4 hours you might be okay. It has a very short half life. So if people take it twice a day...their blood levels will only kill babesia for a few hours. > > > > > > p.s. penny...geez...if you'd told us about this a few > weeks > > > ago, > > > > > we > > > > > > could've tripled our money. > > > > > > The stock has gone from about a dollar to three > > > > dollars...probably > > > > > > because of recent news. > > > > > > > > > > > > but you were on vacation! bad on you! > > > > > > i'll do some more research. thanx.
