Guest guest
Sue- I've been looking into CVID as both my daughter and I have IG deficiencies, commonly found in CFS. Hers are across the board IGA/IGG/IGM, mine are IGG. Although most CFS doc's look at these as a result of immune depletion as a result of the disorder, the CVID can be tested for by a knowledgeable immunologist. It may be that a lot of us with these chronic infections have a primary immune deficiency, hence abx are palliative or preventative, but not curative. In that case, we would need regular IVIG supplement as we simply don't produce enough immunoglobulins to defend ourselves. We are consulting an immunologist for our daughter, we'll see what it brings. Jim
