Guest guest
It does not appear real clear what this small-molecule pheromone does, but it is common to many many bacterial species and has some broad effects on borrelial protein expression. At this point the data on that appear to be mainly just raw electrophoresis gels: http://iai.asm.org/cgi/reprint/70/8/4099.pdf Here is the latest: http://jb.asm.org/cgi/content/full/187/9/3079?view=long & pmid=15838035 I dont see any reason to think ingestion of this pheromone by a human - assuming it isnt toxic - would alter the immunoevasion or abx- refraction of borrelia, but it is conceivable.
