Guest guest
what about play acting with patient from each modality and FC; (identify the needs, services, ) and later follow the FC through the pre-auth for t/p procedure. >>> 06/29/00 03:37PM >>> Hi everyone, Since we had previously identified education of TFC's as one of the goals for the association, would anyone find some kind of clinical presentation (gen'l overview, organ specific, etc) helpful or interesting for PCW? I firmly believe that an effective TFC needs to know the clinical side, as well as the ins/financial side. Again, keeping in mind the target for PCW is people new to the field, would it be helpful to get some idea of " just what IS a tx? " What do you all think? J. Guest guest
I agree. Having some knowledge of what is occurring clinically with the patient helps. Also another area that might be helpful to have a presentation for is insurance case rates. Most of our contracts consist of case rates with global periods. I have loads of information on this. Anyone else with case rates? Guest guest
Hi That sounds good but I would like more information related to the problems I see daily working with insurance or the lack of, illegal aliens, billing issues and how this role is managed by the different programs. I think it was Rhea Carrera that said she verifies insurance coverage on a monthly basis. How often do most programs do it? Guest guest
Yes, I do verify the insurance coverage of all patients who are on the waitlist. I developed a program and it has helped me a lot. Will be glad to share this w/ y'all in Utah. Right now, I am sure to go but I will have to get the final approval. If so, I'd be able to do the mini presentation for the TFC.. " what is Tx? " Rea Re: PCW Session Hi That sounds good but I would like more information related to the problems I see daily working with insurance or the lack of, illegal aliens, billing issues and how this role is managed by the different programs. Guest guest
I agree insurance verification should be done on a monthly basis but there just isn't enough time. Any suggestions out there?
