Guest guest
Other than joining others in admiration.... But here I wanted to join and say that I too will be reformating my hard drive. I searched and finally found the perfect disability keyboard and mouse. But when I installed the software, it disabled some of my other programs which I think is really weird. The only other culprit could be a hidden trojan that picked just this moment to kick up smoke. At any rate, I need these other programs because they are vital to research and aid in the compiling of data. They are still on my drive but unaccessable when I click their buttons. Even my incredimail little orange envelope won't take me to my email. At any rate, my computer is six months old, so its is about reformat time. I put most of my files on an external hard drive that is usb connected so I can go from room to room, my brain fog is just too heavy to figure out any networking way to configure, so I do it the old fashioned way and cart my files with me. Anyway, my laptop only has a 4GB hard drive, which is ancient these days. Found a 120HD for 69.00 that is external usb plug-in. With Dell selling new computers for less than 400.00 these days it really doesn't pay to upgrade anymore as parts costs add up faster than bacteria. My resource guide says I'm running out of memory with over 1GB installed. Maybe I should pare down my multitasking to less than 30 windows opened at once. ??? Being home bound requires that I do all of my shopping online, even toothpaste. Speaking of toothpaste, does anyone know of a toothpaste that will get rid of ten years of plaque? More on that later. Anyway, I know there are gazillion of programs to fix computer problems, but I have yet found any more effective than " reformat " Hope your's is a smooth transition, Barb.
