How can I find out more about this? I have been trying qigong to the qi

unstuck!

*Chi kung (in 'Wade-Giles'; qigong in 'Pinyin') is of enormous value. I teach

two major forms to my t'ai chi classes and several lesser but related forms

as warm up.

Sifu Yang Zhenduo was the first to tell about it, I think, although it may have

been my teacher, e Héliès. I also saw a documentary on the

subject on French TV that - like most films of that sort here - seemed to've

been made by someone non-French as I recall.

The thing with 'stuck' energy is that it's very difficult to unblock because of

what I s'pose you'd called 'mistaken concreteness'. There are several

Chinese and Tibetan techniques and medicines directed at unblocking such

foul-ups, and I assume there are in India too, but much that passes for

schizophrenia could probably be traced back to just this cause.

I'll look into it and see what I come up with.

Hi Toni,

I certainly share your respect and trepidation about working with kundalini

energy. When I was doing my training in Wavework at the Kripalu Yoga center I

ended up with quite a bit more prana than I needed and after three days of

not being able to sleep the teacher made me sit and visualize the numbers

1-10 over and over again

(a Chit practice) for an hour a day and it worked. She also related her

experience of being so blissed out for so many years at the ashram that she

literally lost custody of her son because she couldn't bring her self to care

for him or to attend to any worldly needs. She shares that publicly as a

warning to people. At any rate I have opted for the slow and scenic route

home. I do my meditation, try to do a ten day retreat each year and live as

mindfully as I can. Apparently haven't been doing to good a job at that

lately, so it's back to the mat.

As far as the energy in my chakras is concerned, we have a deal. I don't

bother it and it doesn't bother me :-) I figure I'll trust to the universe

that things will unfold as they should in their own good time.

Love,

Suzanne

It sounds like serious stuff to mess with. Better I stick to what I

know. Can one practice kundalani without a teacher?

I have read about this, and it made sense to me, but I would need

someone to keep me out of trouble. I have always felt, that when we deal

with " energy' the Spirit, or things spiritual, caution about right

" attitude " would be important.

It sounds a little to me as what happens in the fairytales when one lets

the genie out of the bottle. One better have some wisdom handy.(or some

mountain passes needing unclogging)

love, Toni
