Guest guest
Penny, when I have the nausea attacks, I don't throw up. It gets horrible and intense, then gradually fades and lasts several hours. It's as if sleep is the only way to get rid of it. It causes me intense exhaustion for several hours afterward. So far the attacks last from 2 to about 8 hours. I am tired of it, too. I hope your situation can be improved! There isn't anything I really can do but throw up and then I feel better. For a while, crackers, ginger ale, and even green tea were making me feel better, but it didn't last long. I have anti nausea meds, but they don't really do much. Last week I was supposed to start treatment for hepatitis C, but they want me to be more stable first. I have decompensated cirrhosis, and they will start me out on a very low dose, but they may decide not to have me do it at all if they can't get me more stable. My lab tests such as electrolytes are all over the place. I've gained 13 pounds of ascitic fluid in my belly again, and my herniated belly button is getting bigger. They increased my diuretics again. I got my flu shot last week, pnemonia shot, hepatitis A and B vaccinations this week, and tomorrow I have to go to the hospital for another ultrasound. By the way, I have been on social security disability since 2001. I was turned down the first time, but then got a lawyer who got it for me and never charged me a cent to do it. So that's my update...Penny > > Wow. It just makes such a huge difference to actually see who your new > friends are. Thank you to those who added pictures. Now,I am having such a tough time with nausea this week, these > pictures made my day. Does any one else have the bad nausea? And what > do you do about it? I took benydril, but thats about it. I found out > that most anti nausea drugs are all anti histamines, like hydroxyzine, > benydril, meclizine, which is a motion sickness drug called bonine, I think, and dramimine, which is essentially almost the same exact drug as benydril, and the pharmicist told me that. Any one? > > > > __________________________________________________ >
