Guest guest
Well I survived the weekend with a few revelations along the way. I am very very happy to say that I am still experiencing the " no hunger " stage and I still have a lot of restriction so I am where I have wanted to be for the past 4 months or so and I am losing weight. On Friday night I went home and had a couple of teaspoons of smoked salmon pasta and a couple of teaspoons of the dogs stew I made for him. then I spent the rest of the evening throwing this up. Just before I fell asleep after nearly 6 hours in bed, I PB'd thru my nasal passage which is the most revolting experience and I was very nervous about surviving the weekend before getting some unfill today. Saturday I had a VLCD for lunch, no breakie and then made the shanks and had those for dinner with no probs. Sun I made a tuna/pasta bake and threw that up as well so gave that away to my neighbour yesterday when it finally dawned on my that everything I have been sick with over the past 10 days has involved pasta. So I can no longer tolerate this. Last night was another bad night after I had a couple of hot chips at the pub with my girlfriend - obviously now that I am experiencing real restriction for the first time, the band is telling me I am not going to tolerate both quantities and certain types of foods. So I am going to be very careful testing things out that are on the banders " problem foods " list from here on. Last night after the failure to hold down even a couple of teaspoons of food I came home early and tried again with another food (apricot chicken and veg) and could not hold that either. I am feeling very raw in the throat this morning and about to attempt some lunch, but get the feeling that if something does not agree with me, I need to give up food altogether for that meal, as my system is aggrivated and I will not be able to digest anything. does anyone else find this happening to them? I decided not to see the surgeon this morn and just put my new knowledge about my banded state into practice and see how I go. Anyway I'm off to try the apricot chicken again - Mel I made with your suggested ingreds, plus I added onions, a pkg of frozen spinach and some dried apricots and sultanas - here's hoping I can now eat it!!
