Guest guest
Hi everyone... I'm wondering why zinc would cause nausea? Here's the situation: My son (4 1/2 yo), who's been taking about the same dosage of zinc for over a year has recently (for several months now) been complaining about it. His speech isn't very good, so we thought he didn't like the taste. Well, today I tried less than a teaspoon of it, and I felt nauseous. We questioned my son, and he said that he felt sick when he took it, so we're guessing he feels nauseous as well. However, he just recently had a blood test, and his zinc levels are still lower than normal, and lower than his copper levels. This has improved from before, but not where they should be. So, I don't think this nausea is from having too much zinc in his system... Any ideas? He has a teaspoon of Kirkman zinc every night (20mg), and he weighs about 40 lbs. I had less than a teaspoon tonight and I weigh... umm... more than 40 lbs, and I felt sick anyway. Thank you in advance, Inna Nill
