I can relate completely. I used to be a perfect speller. I always knew intuitively if something looked like it was spelled right. Now I too sometimes look at a word and don't know if it is spelled right. Usually after batting it around a few times I come up with the correct answer but I in the past I didn't have to do that.

Actually- mis-spellings as a symtpom is an interesting topic.I am a big (spelling) offender on line - transposing letters, and misspelling - and this started for me about 5 years ago (I'm 57). And on top of that sometimes I can't recognize if something is spelled correctly or not. THAT's what worries me more.I used to be a perfect in spelling, but alot of healthy people I've talk to said their spelling degrades as they age.. (but not recognition whether they're spelled correctly or not) I just wonder how many people use spell check - or go over their posts before hitting send.. I just installed a new tool bar with spell check- so if I'm not in a hurry and take the time to use it - then I'll look 'cured'.Is it an age thing? Or not? or both?I'm not sure.Barb> Ken,> I think you are misunderstanding me > in so many ways that it is probably not > of any benefit to go into them more. > It might just compound the problems, so > I will just drop it.
