Update on antibiotic therapy

Just wanted to let you know that after a month on 500mg amoxicillin-

one per day, I am feeling better. The last several days I am having

glimpses of what I recall as normal. That is saying something as I

have been very ill since 1987.

If you recall I failed miserable when adding one more amoxicillin

daily and zithro 2x ea week. The toxic reaction was intense. Felt

like I was poisoned and dying. Also had severe joint pain when I

tried to add flagyl.

I understand this probably needs to be a multiple antibiotic

therapy for the " cure " so I know I have a ways to go. If I continue

to feel this well after a couple of more days I will add another

amoxicillin and ramp up-hopefully to zith and then to Flagyl again.

The doc was pushing pretty hard for me to move forward but after

some bad episodes he agrees that I will have to take it very slow. I

believe slow is working. Yeah!!!

I might add that candida has been a real problem and it could be

that taking 200mg of Diflucan 3x ea week is adding to my progress.

BTW, where is everyone? The message board has been pretty dead

lately.
