Guest guest
Good luck out there. Was the last few months your first abx tx? I still seem to be improving slowly and steadily after 9 months of combos (hopefully summer is not a major factor, cause I have a feeling it will be followed by fall and winter). And I have never herxed once, except on fluconazole a single time. I plan to hit the tini again soon, I should also get some fluc. I'm feelin like a totally normal dude in this chair here, tho I have swollen glands, am taking a strong antidepressant (duloxetine), and obviously cant get up and go running. I could use a Mg IV too to shut down this muscle twitching for another 2 months. I can walk 4 miles or so before crashing for the day (may seem alot but I used to walk 20 miles out of shape, 25 in shape, on hiking trips). Most days I certainly do not feel up to normal, so far. But its pretty sweet after last summer and fall when I was awfully ill and expected to be leaving. Sounds like youve come a long way forward too. Sorry its been such a long time coming. On the other hand, there are people just like us getting inpatient psychotherapy this very day for their " exertion phobia, " so were all about 5000% better off than those poor people treatmentwise. > > Just wanted to let you know that after a month on 500mg amoxicillin- > one per day, I am feeling better. Guest guest
I think I started Sept. 2004. Have taken several holidays cause my herxes were so bad. It has taken me this long to really feel like it is helping. Of course today I over did it and feel pretty achey tonight. I don't have any stamina and walk slowly but my over all feeling of well being has certainly improved. Yes, I was in the psych category for a long time. Couldn't get my Dr. to believe my symptoms. I have my records from those days. Once in the chart she said patient says she is having shortness of breath. I believe this is psychological. Lots of other blame it on psych dx. I finally fired her and went almost straight naturopathic for a while. Naturopath gave me weekly Meyers cocktails. She diagnosed with using my pulse. She told me I had a virus in my CNS and also bacterial infections. Others in the alternative said the same thing-some using pulse and some using mucsle testing. I told my immunologist about those dx so he checked me for infections. Tested HHV-6, CMV, Chlamydia Pneumonia, Mycoplasma Pneumonia and Legionella. Was positive for all of the above. He was always reluctant to give long term antibiotics because he said my immune system wouldn't tolerate them. Also said if the herx didn't get me down the chemicals in the antibiotics would. A different Dr. (the one I see now) recommended the antibiotics. The first Doc was right, it has been hard. Well, I didn't mean to ramble. Bottom line I was treated like a psychosomatic the first 12 out of 20 years that I have been ill. I feel lucky. Marie Hodologica <usenethod@...> wrote: Good luck out there.
