Guest guest
Hi, I have question about potential interaction between Penicilline and Fluconazole. My doc put me on phenoxymethylpenicillin, at the same time I am on milk thistle. I have asked the pharmacist and they say it is no problem, but they also did not mention anything when I was on both fluconazole (CYP3A4 inhibitor) and milk thistle (CYP3A4 inhibitor) and some other stuff that had to do with the same pathway. - Do you guys no of any potential interaction between these two? - Another brief question, I am aware that the (tetra)cyclines should not be taken with dairy / antacids, but recently read that this goes for any anbitiotic...? Is this correct or other than on the tetracyclines, antacids / dairy does not have any effect? Many thanks in advance. Ciao
