Guest guest
>> My favorite is AL2, however, (even over AL4) because the great music and enthusiasm of the class always bring out the best in me (and there are fewer of the dreaded balance moves). > I think AL2 is my favorite also, because I really like the music...and for some reason I can always get into it, no matter what mood I'm in....like today, when I didn't really feel like doing a workout. I put AL2 in and after a few minutes I'm totally into the workout. I also wanted to add that AL2 also has floorwork and ab work. Actually, to me the ab work in AL2 is better than the ab work in AL1. But in my first summary of AL 1 and 2, I forgot to add that AL2 also has the floorwork, it just doesn't have any stretching or cooldown at the end. Guest guest
>Variety is the spice of life and even though folks claim I need to crosstrain >more, I think Tae Bo has enough variety on its own but I do some of the Yoga >Lady's stretches and the 30 minute very low impact tv work-out which follows >her on tv > Barb, I've been thinking about this lately too...I have an aunt who just started doing tae-bo and when I told her that I do it 6 days a week, she told me that a friend of hers who is a personal trainer told her that she shouldn't do tae-bo everyday, that she should do other activity alternating with tae-bo. Her philosophy being that if your body gets used to one type of exercise, it won't get as much benefit from the exercise. My response to this at the time was that I do alternate between Basic and Advanced and that I have so many different tapes that it's definitely a variety...not like I'm doing the exact same tape over and over again to where my body could actually get used to the same movements. And also that each tape seems to focus on different parts of the body...some being more aerobic, some focusing on legs, some focusing on balance...etc. Anyway, it does have me thinking that maybe I should do a little cross training, because I also have reached a plateau and can't seem to lose any more weight. Granted, I only have a few more pounds to lose, so I know it will be more difficult to take them off. But maybe what I need is just a little change in my workout routine a couple days a week. I think when I get home, I'm going to try to go to the Y a couple of times a week and start running again. I'll let you know if that helps with the plateau or not...or if I just go right back to doing tae-bo full time because running on the treadmill is just too boring!! Just seems to me that Tae Bo offers it all by varying the tapes: aerobics, stretching, strengthening, isometrics, etc When I do the low impact tv program, it seems alot of what is done overlaps with what I do with Tae Bo but with less reps. Anyway, I am going to buy a set of dumb bells to do some of the weight training done on this program I watch too cuz I figured it will be good for my bones being in menopause Barb who is convinced the plateau is cuz I simultaneously increased my Tae Bo and decreased my calories and carbs so am starting to eat more

Guest guest
Boy, I'm just really stuck in the #4 series. I'm doing them everyday. ;-D I really love both tapes. AL#2 was my favorite workout tape, ever, but the #4 series fits me like a glove. I know each of our personalities are different, so what fits me to a tee, will not be the same for someone else. BL#4 is more of a beginners workout. It's not near as intense as BL#2, but you can make it more intense, by kicking higher. tries really hard to get everyone to just kick to their knees. The taping is done in the new studio, just like AL#4 and the music is great. Like AL#4, is so motivational and again, at his best. BL#3 seems to work more legs. I always feel it in my legs the next day. I love the soundtrack in this tape. There is a kicking segment in this tape that is really gets your spirits up. The song is by Ricky . Your energy level is automatically taken up a notch. BAM!!!!!! I have a confession to make. It's been so long since I've done the floorwork in AL#1 and AL#2, so I'm really not judging these videos by its full content. Remember, I'm the self-confessed floor work hater. Great news! My AL#5 is actually defective, audio wise. LOL. It doesn't clear up until about 10 minutes into the tape. So I'll have to return anyway. HEHEHE. But, I'm really thinking about getting another copy. I really do like the 16 minute aerobic session.

I'll call and see if you'll do that. It's the first tape that I've ever had a problem with. Debbie-who just has to tell you that muscle does not weigh more than fat.
