Guest guest
Thinking of what TOny says. And yet Barb targeted her infection with relatively short doses and not that heavy. Do we all here think the obvious, that bacteria have mutated to be abx resistant thus need higher doses? WHy do some of the older abx like penicillin work so well? Guest guest
Jill: My courses were short (by Lyme standards) but the doses were high (maxium for body weight or higher) adjusted down, only if there was drug-drug reactions. In between rounds of abx was antioxidant and supplement time. My therapy was a mix of between the constant abx (every day) of LLMDs and the too short of conventional MDs. I was off and on abx for about a year and a half. Don't confuse varaints that can morph back and forth between 2 forms with bacterial resistance. Guest guest
Jill my course of ABX was also short, even way shorter then Barbs. I am in 95% remission after being deathly sick for over 20 years. One huge difference is that I used heparin to deal with the ISAC, removing the fibrin so that the ABX had a chance of penetrating. I am going out on a limb and Barb can kick me if I flubbed (there are so many Barbs), but I think she may have also used heparin. Man I hope I am thinking of the right Barb. If you haven't looked at that avenue then it might be worth a look. > > Thinking of what TOny says. > > And yet Barb targeted her infection with relatively short doses and > > not that heavy. > > > > Do we all here think the obvious, that bacteria have mutated to be > abx > > resistant thus need higher doses? > > WHy do some of the older abx like penicillin work so well? Guest guest
Barb, I had not realized you were on antibiotics for 18 months! I guess I just don't remember what you wrote back then. I think I recall the arthemos/tetracycline, which seemed very smart deductively. What else were you on for the other 18 months if you don't mind my asking again and at what levels? Thanx. Guest guest
Jelly, what was your course, ie dosages, times, and which abx? That makes sense about the heparin in some cases. Guest guest
Jill, I used heparin for about 1 1/2 years alone. I tried to stop the heparin, but the hypercoagulation came right back. Then I started Doxy for Myco Fermentans and Myco Pnuemonia. I herxed horribly, tried several more times with the Doxy, but I couldn't do it and fuction. All attempts were a matter of days. Then I tried Cipro, had severe vertigo, stopped after about 4 days. Then started Micocycline at very low doses as low as 3 mgs, based on what I learned at the Road Back Foundation. I have done probably 3 3-6 week cycles of Mino. Quitting every time due to herxing and life circumstances. After EVERY ABX attempt I was greatly improved, even the Doxy. I treated yeast about 1 year ago and that is where I went from 85% remission to 95%. I was able to stop the heparin about 1 year ago and now use Nattokinase. ISAC panel is Normal finally. > > > > Thinking of what TOny says. > > > > And yet Barb targeted her infection with relatively short doses > > and > > > > not that heavy. > > > > > > > > Do we all here think the obvious, that bacteria have mutated to > > be > > > abx > > > > resistant thus need higher doses? > > > > WHy do some of the older abx like penicillin work so well? Guest guest
Hi Jelly: I didn't use Heparin - but used ALOT of ibuprofen as a thinner and anti-inflammatory and at quite high doses (around 2 grams+ at times). B PS.. I'm getting ready to install new home computer and reformatt my old hard drive - so if I drop off the face of the earth for while you'll all know why. > > > Thinking of what TOny says. > > > And yet Barb targeted her infection with relatively short doses > and > > > not that heavy. > > > > > > Do we all here think the obvious, that bacteria have mutated to > be > > abx > > > resistant thus need higher doses? > > > WHy do some of the older abx like penicillin work so well? Guest guest
Sorry Barb. There are so many Barbs. Barbs, Barbs, every where Barbs. I took a guess and it was the wrong one. Sorry. I took tons of Advil too. Sixteen a day to be exact, everyday. Did nada, maybe, just maybe it took the razor edge off the pain. Guest guest
Jelly: Were they 100 or 200mg tablets? If they were 200mg, then thats alot every day. Ibuprofen was the ONLY thing that took the edge off my pain, and I worried about how much I took. It worked well on my ever present headache. Guest guest
I was on the 200mg tablets. Basically I was taking perscription doses. Didn't work on any of my pain, body or head. Now that I am near normal, it works just fine, I only take 2 and that is a rare occurance. I sometimes wonder if the hypercoagulation/ISAC and the fibrin buildup was the reason it didn't work. Maybe the Advil just could get through, Once again, I don't know, it just happened. The only thing that did stop my pain and headaches was Vioxx, but that was while I was on heparin. > > > > > > Thinking of what TOny says. > > > > > > And yet Barb targeted her infection with relatively short > > doses > > > > and > > > > > > not that heavy. > > > > > > > > > > > > Do we all here think the obvious, that bacteria have > mutated > > to > > > > be > > > > > abx > > > > > > resistant thus need higher doses? > > > > > > WHy do some of the older abx like penicillin work so well?
