Guest guest
I look forward to your next try of Natto. It is very possible that the headache you got was a herx reaction. Hopefully it will happen again, or something along that line. If you find that you again get a reaction, instead of cutting back on the Natto, try cutting back on the ABX. It seems that when the Natto works like we hope, then less ABX might be just as useful as the larger doses you were taking before Natto. You can really control the amount of herxing you do by adjusting the ABX dose. Some people like to just let the herx come on hard and hopefully get it over with sooner. But then there are those, like at the Road Back Foundation who definetly feel to strong a herx is counter productive. Run it by your doc just to make sure if you deceide to decrease the ABX, just in case. But people at the RBF do it all of the time, increasing it back up when they can. I'll be watching for you to post again on this. > I recently tried an experiment with nattokinase. I had been taking it for a few months but not being absolutely fussy about food or other supplements (in fact I would take it with my other supps). A bit over a week ago I decided to a) be absolutely scrupulous about taking it as far away as possible from food or anything else, increased our dose (my husband is also taking it) from 3 to 4 per day. > > After 4 days we both got a strong headache, which lasted a couple of days at max level then getting less strong as we stopped the nattokinase (took another couple of days). This was not our first experience with natto and abx (we are on 100 mg minocycline and roxithromycin 300 mg), so this time was to confirm that natto does somehow enhance the effect of abx (breaking down fibrin, exposing bacteria to abx?). > > We are going to resume taking natto in a few days' time, maybe starting slower this time. > > To be followed > > Nelly
