I really know how that crap is. If there are some observable indications of illness that you can calmly show your sister, than you might try doing that, as long as you dont invest too much in the effort. Otherwise, I second Pennys suggestion to just try to totally forget about that kind of crap from people if need be. It can be really hard to stop thinking about that stuff, cause it can be so enraging (especially if you have certain kinds of CNS things going on). I definitely blew my stack a few times in the old days, as far as yelling to shake the walls goes, when I was really sick. Now when something pisses me off bigtime I usually blow off some steam by filing a oath-laden " official complaint " as it were with my best sick friend Mr Scha, and then I try to forget about it. Being mad is just harmful. Direct all energy into treatment and to maintaining some sort of connection with joy however vanishingly tiny it may be. Whats up with your bi-PAP right now in terms of the nitty gritty? Are you using it? Trying to get it calibrated by one of the sleep centers? There has to be a sleep lab somewhere that will take you. I would guess that neuros with a sleep specialty can lean on those labs pretty hard if they want to give you a referral and know there may be difficulty... if none of the labs will take you on you might think of trying more neuros... even tho the last one you saw sounds like a gigantic piece of crap, they cant all be alike. best,
