I don't know what you mean by living with part of a liver. In a living donor

transplant, the recipient is given part of the living donor's liver, and within

a month or so both liver parts grow back to full size. However, if one has

cirrhosis, it's spread pretty evenly throughout the liver. You can't remove part

of it because the other part would have the cirrhosis too.

Has he spoken to a transplant team?

I am trying to find someone that has delt with the problem My life long

anyone reading this ever been thru these two failures at the same time?

He was told to go to a kidney specialist. The hospital doctor mentioned

that ...but said he felt he only had a sliver of a chance to live...I

don't trust those hospital doctors nor the hospice nurses ...what are

we up against? can he live with only a part of a liver ....maybe he can

get dialisis>???? HELP
