Guest guest
Steve, I was more than a little shocked to see that you are now selling/ endorsing some kinda weight-loss spray on your website. I recall that in the Backpacker magazine article, you said that you won't " sell out " and endorse products you don't use. So...um...how much weight have you lost with the spray so far? Guest guest
I think you are talking about the Google ads?? I don't think Steve has control of what they advertise. Guest guest
Just because a person has an ad on their site does not mean that they endorse it or even have control over what ad is there . Most of them are automated to pick up key words from the page and that determins what ad is placed on the web page. Steve may or may not be receiving money for these ads. Maybe it is the web host or someone else. Even if he is selling space on his site for money ... so what? Isn't Steve entitled to some income for running a web page? I know that with my blog I could put up google adwords to make some money, but I choose not to. And by the way it does not mean he is endorsing or selling the product. It is like selling space on a bus or a bilboard, except in this case Steve would not have any control over what is put there. I hope this has cleared some things up Lindy
Guest guest
I guess I am missing it. I have looked and looked and I don't see any ad for spray. Anyone else see it? Guest guest
OK so here is the deal about the ads. Web content costs money and my site at one point reached 1 million hits a day. I think that is great but the web hosting company freaked because it was costing them too much money to provide the bandwith. We had an agreement in place but they did not expect the volume that my site generated. (By the way, Thanks for that) So in order for them to keep the site up THEY placed google ads there to help offset the cost until I go on this next journey. With Google ads you do not decide what they advertise, instead the mix is generated by keywords on the site like weightloss for example. I have no affiliation with any of those advertisers, I do not endorse their products and am not being paid anything from them. If you want a free site then someone else has to pay the bill. Everything costs something, a small price to pay I think. > > > > naaaaaa > > > > I just can't see it.
