I think when you switch to more intensity (advanced) or more time, and you are cutting back on food, your body is holding on to the fat. You need to eat a bit more calories if you're burning @800 calories a day. There are things that are high in calories, but very healthy:almonds, avocado, etc. I have been a vegetarian for almost 4 years, and I snack on nuts and dried fruit and yogurt. Those types of things are full of vitamins. Let me know how you think this works in about 2-3 weeks. I have been at a plateau for almost a year now - staying at a size 10, which is loose, but can't fit into an 8 yet - with doing step aerobics with weights, mountain biking, hiking, and lots more. I've had TaeBo since March, but after Basic got too short and easy, I started back up with my other videos. But about 1 1/2 months ago, I got that CRUNCH tape with , which has 2 25 min. workouts. I would do that video along with the studio basic, and after almost a month, I (finally!) got studio advanced, and now that's my main thing (besides biking around for transportation), and every couple of days, my hubby says something to me about little changes going on. So just do something a little different. Maybe even take a week off, if you can stand it! Laurie who hopes these big muscular thighs let go of their protective fat layer soon, and shows up my 2 sisters!
