Guest guest
I am watching the DVD's from a conference led by Amy Yasko and Garry Gordon. Its ostensibly about autism but some of us chronic lymies have all those issues that autistic kids do, just later in life. The level at which these dr's are addressing the issues is phenomenally sophisticated. Anyway I just paused the video--because I think one of your issues in the seizures and pain is upregulated glutamate. The following are used to manage glutamate in these kids: pycnogenol taurine curcumin and theanine I know you are more immersed in the straight medical model now than anything alternative but the bug has clearly hijacked your pathways, and you know I am of the opinion that supportive therapies now would be ideal (as hyperbaric but I couldn't convince Randy Baker to get a chamber at least not yet. I did convince Trent Nichols! after talking to him a few hours at a conference 2 mos ago about lyme, and telling him repeatedly how my chamber helped me and he must get one for his patients as otherwise he has a comprehensive approach...apparently he did buy one from a colleague! And for a good price. But anyway. I may try Randy Baker again as someone I know is selling a used one...) But anyway I think you should immediately start supplementing with all the above. I also woul dsuggest if you haven't been able to get IV glutathione yet to get an Rx for glutathione and get an Inspiration nebulizer for $60. Apparently that is working well with lymies and I'm going to do it myself. I wish I could get the genetic testing done on these kids. Listening to these DVD's its clear that we are adult versions of these kids-- we're not autistic because we didn't get these insults when our brains were develoipng. But infection, toxic metals, and genetically vulnerable oxidation and methylation pathways...upregulated immune systems, crazed cytokines, susceptibility to chronic infections etc Its interesting that I have instinctively avoided any glutatmine supplementaiton always... I had been loking into curcumin and I have pycnogenol on my shelf and I believe I hvae theanine somewhere around here so I will start to try one at a time.
