Guest guest
Yes , seems a bit of a contradiction there ...The argument he gives is that the gut is poorly supplied with blood ...therefore a poor delivery of the systemic drugs...hence the need for topical Antifungal ..But as you point out usually Fluconazole is incredibly effective against vaginal Candida [thrush] ..I can only say both topical & systemic drugs worked well for me ...The dose is the critical issue ...I used the criteria of feeling progress ..feeling impvement from month to month ..i adjusted my dose of drug to ensure i was progressing however how small that progression was ...I hope that made sense i'm just back from my therapeutic three pints of beer ... -----Original Message-----From: infections [mailto:infections ]On Behalf Of HodologicaSent: 17 June 2005 20:18infections Subject: [infections] Jaep - fluc, what do you think about Crantons assertion that fluc is fully absorbed in the upper GI and that blood-borne fluc doesnt treat candida in the lumen of the colon? Keeping in mind that fluc may harm borrelia, do you know of patient testimony relating to Crantons view?Oral fluc seems to work for candida in the lumen of the vagina, doesnt it? Is the growth of candida in the lumen of the colon somehow different?
