Guest guest
So right! Beautiful words. I'm also more of a jalopy type of gal! -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: thefatmanwalking_group [mailto:thefatmanwalking_group ] Im Auftrag von Cheri Gesendet: Montag, 10. April 2006 15:51 An: thefatmanwalking_group Betreff: weekend activity & a little blue well I played flag football again this weekend. I pulled a groin muscle the first play :-( I planted one foot and pushed off and felt and heard the pop....) But we were 6 on 6 with one sub so I played most of the game taking it as easy as possible and blocking more than running. I walked about half an hour Saturday and Sunday and today I don't hurt at all. My mom and stepfather are leaving for Africa Friday and will be gone till October so we were packing boxes for a couple hours yesterday. It's kind of crazy because I'm as big as I've ever been but I'm as active or even MORE active now. I feel strong and have decent endurance... I just jiggle a bit more when I jump. I guess my philosophy is that I have lots more to do (God willing) while in this body so I want to keep it as functional as possible. At the end of my life I'd rather race in, skid to the curb, bounce a little and say, " whew, what a ride " No nice neat parallel parking for me and I imagine I'll be more of a jalopy or beat up mini van than a sleek corvette and i'm ok with that so long as I feel good about the journey I completed. Wow! Where'd that all come from?? Guess I'm feeling a bit mortal today (as compared to the super-mom mode I try to function at daily)I just found out Thursday that I have another aunt just diagnosed with breast cancer (stage 4 metastatic)Some of you might remember, I just lost another aunt (different side of the family) last fall after a very short fight (about 11 or 12 months). So I'm very aware none of us are guaranteed tomorrow. Yesterday is history and tomorrow is a mystery but today is a gift That's why it's called the present. Let's all remember each day has endless possibilites for making this world a little better by our words, acts and priorites. Griffmom in Indy http://www.thefatmanwalking.com/ Keep walking Steve!!!
