Guest guest
Hi Sharon, Jeff is on one shot a week but takes 6 pills a day. When he first started, he would get sick, about 4 hours after. Like upset stomache, throw up sick. Then he would be good the rest of the week. This was right after he took the shot. He did not have a problem going to work. Shot night is Fridays. Now, theses last 2 months are starting to get worse. He does not get sick until 3-4 days later. He feels like he has a cold, legs ache, sometimes fever, He is tired alot now. He gets home, goes take a nap. Gets up for dinner, then back to bed. He also gets these killer migraines, but that could be from other meds he takes, but we think now it is the tx. He does not get them all the time, but when he does, he's in bed. He did the 48 weeks, and Dr. wants him to try to do 12 more weeks, He is determined to keep going, anything to try to clear this nasty disease. Everyone reacts different to the drugs. Don't be afraid, there is support here for you. Sue Sharon McCarty wrote: Debra, Thanks for your prayers. I found out today that I have Hep C and Cirrhosis. The Hep C is from a blood tranfusion that I had 23 years ago. I was pregnant, went into labor with my only child, and had an early seperation of the placenta, starting hemorraging and lost the baby, plateletts left the blood and had to have 29 units of blood, and a partial hysterectomy. The gastro doc is starting me on a year long treatment, with 2 pills a day and a shot a week. Have you or has anyone had treatment for Hep C? He told me I would feel like I had the flu, and have a really bad case of the blahs. I don't see the nurse to start the treatment until this week, so I'm just wondering what I should expect.
