Well, it's hard to think that what works for me would work for you,

but then I've never met 100 people that suffer like I do before..

The fact that you are eager to learn and help yourself is an

excellent sign. It's amazing to see how amny people are not like this.

anyway, at the end of this message I'll ask a couple questions..

There are exactly two ways to sick or depressed--mental and/or

physical.It's almost always both.

For example, I used to eat a whole bunch of bread during my

depression until I literally felt suicidal and hopeless.

Is bread the cause of my depression--umm.. no.

It's the yeast in the bread that accelerated my condition.

If your familiar with homeopathy--like cures like.

My mother first used the analogy of using well placed fires to burn

out a forest fire.I believe it's important to simply know that there

is a balance between deep emotions and external factors.

I would avoid simple carbohydrates in general and sugar and coffee.

There's a book called eat right for your blood type--you might wanna

check it out. Find out what herbs/tea work for you. All these things

are for overall balance though.

Depression is something to be faced. I tfeel it is crucial to spend

time thinking by yourself when you are depressed.

When you're real depressed, you don't want to do anything, right?

Nothing appeals to you..as if you've lost all desire.

(I'm guessing this is what others feel. I've yet to do a clinical

study on the matter. For the sake of argument, I'll go on.)

It's a horrible feeling, to feel that loss of desire.

It's just your sunconscious trying to tell you that all these normal

everyday experiences are TEMPORARILY distractions.

Aside from doing things that are absolutely necessary--do nothing.

(e.g. while my guitar gently weeps)When you start to feel better, do

something creative--write something or whatever. When you remove the

unnecessary, you go within yourself. Think of depression as five

years of meditation per day. This is what my screen name means..

because happiness is productivity / creativity and most importantly--

overcoming obstacles. and how do I find this? one way is to

temporarily do nothing so that I may learn.

We assume that thinking will be so taxing when we are depressed

because life seems so distressing. but our thoughts are our greates

haven at that moment.

What is consciousness after all, but the inception of inner dialogue?

It's a harsh lesson. It takes great courage to learn it.

and you will rarely receive any credit for your efforts, but if and

when you do, it outshines the bullshit.

Hope I was helpful in some way.
