Guest guest
When P came home from school this afternoon (he went in for 2 hours), I asked him how it was and he said " great! " with a lovely big smile on his face. His home school link book says 'Philip only popped in with some of his belongings and he managed to listen to sharing time with the other children. Philip too shared some information about his family and himself.....we looked at some of Philip's photos and he shared them in a gentle way.....well done Philip, I am looking forward to having you at our school.' Later we went swimming and whilst Louis (NT brother) had his lesson, we were in the water. There were lots of other kids there as well (in fact it was quite boisterous) and about 5 mins after Louis had started his lesson, P tagged along with a group of larger kids who were throwing and chasing after a ball. He happily joined in on the periphery but the other kids didnt take much notice of him. This didnt bother him at all, he was full of smiles at their games, even if he wasnt getting a turn. I hovered nervously a distance away waiting to jump in if there were misunderstandings. Eventually the other kids invited P to play piggy in the middle and he played with them for about 15 mins loving every minute of it and not bothering at all that he was mostly in the middle. He referenced me a few times when he got the ball, glanced towards me several times to share emotion when something funny happened and at one point when he caught the ball, smiled at the boy who threw it and did a thumbs up to him. I was just choked watching him. Zoe
