Jenni,

This is a great question...I'm from Nashville, TN. I grew up in York, PA,

which is where I am right now (for a few more days) visiting my aunt who

raised me. Most of my family is from the Philadelphia area, but my fiancee

is from Nashville, so I moved there 3 years ago...gosh, I can't believe I've

been in Nashville for 3 years already. My family laughs at me because they

say I've picked up the southern accent a little bit, but I guess it's hard

not to....y'all know what I'm saying?

who misses the change of seasons most of all and even the snow a little

bit...guess I'm a northern girl at heart

Wow...that's pretty cool. I actually come up here alot to visit my aunt, so

maybe one of these times we could get together. I think I'll be up here

sometime in January. I usually stay for a couple of weeks when I come

visit...my fiancee's in a band, so he's on the road alot. Anyway, I'd love

to try to get together sometime.

I spent the first 14 years in Rock Hill, South Carolina, which is right

outside of Charlotte, NC (except for one year in ville, Florida. Then

from SC, I moved to Fort Lee, Virginia (which is right next to sburg)

for a couple of years, and then on to Hanau, West Germany, (this is near

furt) where I graduated High School. Then on to Sanford, Wells, and

Biddeford Maine, (which is right near the coast, near Old Orchard Beach--the

area that King writes about a lot in his books.) where I lived for

about 10 years (except for the year and a half in Huntsville Alabama, and the

year in Milton Mills New Hampshire.) After which, I moved to Brookfield

Massachusetts (which is right outside of Sturbridge) for 5 years, and have

been living for the last 6 years in Lancaster, Ohio (which is next to

Columbus). I figure I'll probably eventually end up in Florida, and at some

point probably spend some time in New England again. I am 40 years old.

Jenni, I am glad you asked this question, because the answers make the people

in this group even more interesting! ;o) Sharon

One more thing........I have always been fascinated by people who stay in one

spot forever. It must be freaky to run into people you were children with in

the Supermarket. I can't even imagine that, but I envy it. Don't get me

wrong, I wouldn't change a thing, but I think people like you have the some

of the right ingredients to be a very centered and grounded human being. ;o)

Thank you for saying that. I really do hope it's true. I don't think I'm

capable of starting over a large number of times. The one time I moved away

from home did terrible things to me emotionally, I think I have my head

together now. :) At least on a good day I do. LOL

I'm 42 and live in Western Washington. My husband and I moved up in

here in 79. I was born and raised in Hawaii and spent my childhood

years from the age of ten to 21 in Southern CA, where all of our family

still resides.

Sharon,

I haven't been involved in this group for a while because of home problems,

but I saw this post, and decided to respond. I also graduated from Hanau

American High School. I graduated in 1991. Small world.

I was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. My parents then moved to Houston

Texas, where I lived for 2 years (from 2 to 4 years old). Then we moved to

Edmonton Alberta for 2 years. We then came back to the province of Quebec,

in a town called Sherbrooke, where I lived until 1995. I then moved to

Montreal to live with my fiance (from 1995 to 1997). I was then offered a

job in North-Western Quebec (in Rouyn-Noranda), where I have lived ever

since. I do not plan on living in this small town for the rest of my life.

My objective is to go back to Montreal in a few years from now.

By the way, I am 30, and am pregnant with my first child.

No I am not taking the classes...I have a two year old and a four month old

so i have no time to go to the center...that is why since i had no time to go

to a fitness center i bought the tae-bo tapes and my husband when he saw that

i really wanted to loose weight bought me a treadmill and a torso track...he

noticed that i wanted to loose weight that i gained because of my pregnancies

and i was becoming less confident about myself due to the constant remarks of

people....it has not been two months yet ...it will be two months of tae-bo

and treadmill..on the 13th of this month and so far i have lost..8 pounds and

alot of inches...before i was just skinny 110 pounds 5'3'' but i liked it

that way then ---i gues ideal for single girls i was 20 then..now i am 25 and

have two kids...now i want to be 125pounds but i want to be toned..and little

bit built...that is why i am also doing some weight lifting...only dumbells

for now and am taking whey protein and amino acids and i think it is

helping....we are closing on our house this friday...i am excited my husband

is making me a weight room in there...so now that i have started exercising i

plan on making it a routine for the rest of my life...i am done having kids

so i should have that pregnancy weight gain again...

Welcome Farah! One of my best friends when I was little was from Pakistan.

Her name is Pooja. I miss her so much and wish I could find her....I'll keep

on the Internet.

I live in Austin. It's great to have some fellow Texans (even relocated ones

like ourselves) on the list.
