I think one reason weldon gives is Doxycycline,

roxithromycin(macrolide) plus metro are cheap and easy

to get on the internet. jimd

Was that said tounge in cheek?

Somemhow it's hard for me to beleive that availability

of drugs on the internet would be part of the criteria

for the combo.

Hard to believe but true, here in the US a 6pak of

zithromax is $46.00 about 7.50us each. 150mg of

Roxithromycin is .20cents each a very close drug, and

his web site speaks on how to get them into england.

If money is no problem do what ever, but I have to

watch my pennies. I believe I read in one of Jim K

posts that stratton was not ready and to go with

weldon, its good, or something like that. I am waiting

for Jim K to post the latest. Jimd

Penny, It is not available in the US but we can get it. Through the LDA and a Doctor who recommended it as it is the European version of Zithromax but is much kinder to the GI track and for me was more neurologically exceptable. Through Pat of the LDA and my doctors OK. I faxed my order and got it send from Australia. It comes rather quickly. We are allowed to bring this legally into the USA because of a bill that was passed to help HIV patients when we didn't have a drug that was being used elsewhere. It worked for me for quite a while and then my bacteria build a resistance to it. I'm now on Doxy, BiaxinXL and a high dose of Beta Glucans. I also take a low dose of Plaquenil and for the abnormal brain waves which do not allow me to sleep. I take Klonopin and Magnesium along with B-12 and B-6 injections. What we don't go through to say alive... Dealing with many TBI's plus Mycoplasma Fermantans and chemical exposure. So needless to say my Immune system is challenged to say the least. Carol

So I'm confused. Is roxithromycin available in the U.S. or not? Sounds promising.penny> The importer of roxithromycin reports(google search)> that they are almost identical, and do the same thing.> this drug is very big in Europe and Latin America> also asia. Hi Jim,

Is Roxithromycin really close to zithromax? I've been fighting with

my insurance company to even get 30 zith a month, when I really want

60. My doc wrote me a " medically necessary " script, but that's no

guarantee these days. If Roxi's that close, perhaps people paying

for their own could substitute with that?

you wrote: " I believe I read in one of Jim K posts that stratton was

I'm not quite sure I understand that?

The importer of roxithromycin reports(google search)

that they are almost identical, and do the same thing.

this drug is very big in Europe and Latin America

also asia. In the US with our high priced drugs no

company will take on the maker of zitho, they have all

the money. Jim K reported stratton says his protocol

is not quite on the market, and until then you can go

with weldon protocol. I will wait for Jim K to update

this, or correct it. I think I am close. Jimd PS

weldon speaks of how to get the drug into england,

since like in the US it is not sold there, power of

Zithro, I assumed it was the Internet.

IN my google search, PWA health Group in New York City

say they import roxith from germany, Also 1 drug-store

-online.com in Thailand sells a generic very

inexpensive. They send registered mail and are very

good,3 orders and no problem. JIMd

Roxythromycin is a pretty poor choice on it's own, maybe as a combo

therapy it has merit. Personally using the macrolides never wins any

votes in many autoimmune forums. The erythromycin is possably a

disaster drug for many.I find it brought on inflammation early in my

ilness that I had never experienced before, you also don't

completely get rid of this strange inflammation cycle after it's

use.It would be 100% resistant frequently for sinus/ head bacteria

in all my observations.Zithro is a slightly different drug and if

you have luck with zithro this luck will not transfer to

roxythromycin in my own experience.
