Guest guest
Hi, Penny. Milk thistle and its active ingredient, silymarin, are beneficial to the liver in several ways, including increasing its production of glutathione, at least in people who are not cysteine-depleted. I haven't heard of any down sides to taking milk thistle. Concerning the product that combines undenatured whey protein and DMG, I hadn't heard of it before. There is some evidence that DMG helps the immune system. And if Bernie Rimland says it helps in autism, I would believe him. I still believe that the nondenatured whey protein products (RenewPro and ImmunoPro Rx) are to be preferred over the undenatured whey protein isolates. Also, I don't think that all of the information on the website you mentioned for this combined product is accurate. It sounds quite a bit like some of the information on the Immunocal site, which I think is also inaccurate. I don't believe that the gamma peptide bond occurs in natural whey proteins. Concerning Protandim, I think it's a very interesting combination of herbs. I don't know how it will work in PWCs. Maybe some will try it and comment on the results.
