Hi, Penny.

Milk thistle and its active ingredient, silymarin, are beneficial to

the liver in several ways, including increasing its production of

glutathione, at least in people who are not cysteine-depleted. I

haven't heard of any down sides to taking milk thistle.

Concerning the product that combines undenatured whey protein and

DMG, I hadn't heard of it before. There is some evidence that DMG

helps the immune system. And if Bernie Rimland says it helps in

autism, I would believe him. I still believe that the nondenatured

whey protein products (RenewPro and ImmunoPro Rx) are to be

preferred over the undenatured whey protein isolates.

Also, I don't think that all of the information on the website you

mentioned for this combined product is accurate. It sounds quite a

bit like some of the information on the Immunocal site, which I

think is also inaccurate. I don't believe that the gamma peptide

bond occurs in natural whey proteins.

Concerning Protandim, I think it's a very interesting combination of

herbs. I don't know how it will work in PWCs. Maybe some will try

it and comment on the results.
