Guest guest
Hello everyone I am new to the group and suffer from chronic inflammation in the nasal passages and polyps. I am also sensitive to aspirin and Nsaids and have chemical sensitivity. I have symptoms associated with candida: IBS,Joint pain, thrush, cystitis(neg cultures), very dry skin, blind spots, reflux with oesophagitis and obviously chronic sinusitis, rhinitis, post nasal drip ,asthma etc... I am treated with nexium 20 mg for the reflux and I haved stopped the nasal corticosteroids. (I am assuming cortisone /corticosteroids are a quick fix but with suspected fungal problems in the sinuses I dont see how it can make it better long term In fact overall I am getting worse with them) Basically my question is I have started 50 mg flucanozole and anti-fungal hoping it would clear the sinuses and restrictive sugar diet.I sometimes use silver colloidal and that stops the rhinitis. Has anyone been successful with this therapy for sinus problems and can you recommend anything else? I have been told about Kombucha which is fermented green tea, it seems to have some form of yeast in it because its fermented but last time I took it ,as well as pantotheneic acid B5, high dosage slow release and Zinc citrate, I could smell well again but I had severe reflux. Any thoughts ? Thanks __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Ise elinitha? Your negative cultures in cystitis aren't really negative I alway's grow sinus bacteria in my urine most labs ignore thius finding.Your candida is possably pseudonomads aueriganosa which isn't a fungus but can respond resonably to nystatin and possably fluconazole. tony > Hello everyone > > I am new to the group and suffer from chronic inflammation in the nasal passages and polyps. > I am also sensitive to aspirin and Nsaids and have chemical sensitivity. > I have symptoms associated with candida: IBS,Joint pain, thrush, cystitis(neg cultures), > very dry skin, blind spots, reflux with oesophagitis and obviously chronic sinusitis, rhinitis, > post nasal drip ,asthma etc... > I am treated with nexium 20 mg for the reflux and I haved stopped the nasal corticosteroids. > (I am assuming cortisone /corticosteroids are a quick fix but with suspected fungal problems > in the sinuses I dont see how it can make it better long term In fact overall I am getting worse > with them) > > Basically my question is I have started 50 mg flucanozole and anti- fungal hoping it would clear > the sinuses and restrictive sugar diet.I sometimes use silver colloidal and that stops the rhinitis. > Has anyone been successful with this therapy for sinus problems and can you recommend > anything else? Guest guest
Hello, . I too am new to this group. I too have chronic sinus problems, related to chronic bone infection in the maxillary bone. Are you familiar with grapefruit seed extract? This is something that has worked wonders for me. It kills both bacteria and yeast. It is available in pills and liquid, for oral application. However, I am not sure that with reflux problems, you will be able to take it. I mixed it with fresh carrot juice and it was OK. Still, there is a nasal spray that contains grapefruit seed extract, that also works for sinus infections. The manufacturer is Nutribiotic, and I buy it from the Vitamin Shoppe (http://vitaminshoppe.com/search/query.jhtml;$sessionid$KRAIJM1XMPCX4CQUAOWSM4QK\ CQB1AGXK?q=nasal+spray & l= & pt= & d= & pr= & k= & ist= & b=Nutribiotic) I hope this helps you. Guest guest
Dear , If your reflux is ulcer, and due to helicobacter, then GSE (grapefruit seed extract) will help. But if you have only inflammation, it will make it worse. Other remedies that I have tried for my sinuses are: 1. honey (orally). But not all honey works. Some have antimicrobial properties, some don't. Your best bet is raw, unfiltered honey gathered off of wild flowers (since they are not genetically altered). 2. propolis. It works as an antibiotic, but not for too long. Good luck to you, and let me know if any of this actually helps. (By the way, colloidal silver never did anything for me). Guest guest
No Alicja its not ulcer or helicobacter related just Hiatus Hernia and mild gastritis. I have actually found the liquid form of grapefruit seed extract 33% in vegetable glycerine. I could use it diluted in saline, just I have to figure the dilution ratio, wish me luck!
