Guest guest
My son is only 11, but i did receive SSI for him when he was small..until they said we had too many assets. Then they said they also overpaid us $900. To be honest.. I never paid back a dime.. I don't believe he was ever overpaid... the payments had gotten sooooo MINUTE it was nearly impossible. I hope this doesn't come back to haunt him after he's 18. Guest guest
Bob, Just recently I had to place a call into SSI for information on Ariels Medicaid.Evidently when she qualified for SSI she automatically got Medicaid. She has very good health insurance so Medicaid was always used as her secondary.( No Copays)Anyway when I got married last year Ariel no longer qualified for SSI payments.Being as it was that Ariel already had good insurance I never paid any attention to whether or not she still had Medicaid or not.It became an issue the other day and I wanted to find out when he case was canceled. They told me (at the SSI #) that her Medicaid would of been cancelled affective immediately from the date that her SSI was cancelled. I then called my local Medicaid office and found out that the case was still active and would be until April of this year.....To make a long story short...LOL..the people at Social Security make a lot of mistakes. Guest guest
The thing that makes me mad is Tina doesn't have ANY assets and they want to take money away from her that she only made for a couple months of work. NO WAY!! Like I said we all have to work together and do something to change this. Cheryl Adamo, 25, sister of Tina, 22, with MDS
