hi marie - i hope by this time your'e feeling better and you have found a doc. about 15 years or so ago (before i had a clue there was something wrong with my immune system) i hopped a plane to geneva to do a bike ride in the alps (mmmm those were the days!!!) i went to bed for 5 days, slept most of the time.....

airplanes recirculate air so there's lots of bugs you're exposed to - O2 should helpa/ or at least an air ionizer...anything to keep the bugs away....

good luck,

deb

First time I went to the alps, we got to the top of a mountain via

cable car and instead of enjoying the spectacular view, I

immediately headed to the first bench in sight, lay down and fell

asleep. My husband thought I was nuts. I had no recollection of

doing it and certainly no control over it.

That's when I was way younger. Quite a few years later, I realized

that I get altitude sickness if I change altitude (upward) too

quickly. Just going from San Diego to Big Bear made me really sick

for two days. The key, I hear, is to ascend slowly and drink LOTS of

water (and take oxygen if you've got it). How pathetic is that? lol!

Dread those airplanes too. Almost think we should wear masks. I'm

flying in a few weeks. Think I'll arm myself with Xlear, SinoFresh

and Cimetidine, try to ward of the bugs.
