Guest guest
, Was your kid a loose stool kid or a constipation kid? Mine is always constipated. When I called Devon Houston to find out which of his enzymes he would recommend, he advised against the zyme prime and peptizyde, saying that they tend to firm up the stool. He recommended no-fenol even though I don't believe my son has a phenol problem, since they tend to loosen up the stool. I haven't seen any changes yet. a H. Guest guest
Thanks Dr. J.M. We have done testing. We did the 90-food IgG and cut out all of the stuff she tested sensitive to. I think after a while on the diet she was becoming sensitive to the things she was supposed to be able to eat. We tried diet for a year or so and really didn't give up on it until we started the enzymes. We didn't have luck until we tried Houston enzymes. Others we tried really didn't do much. I think there was something in the glyconutrients that was bad on her system, some ingredient she just didn't tolerate. We tried them for almost four months and she was miserable. Her bowels also got really messed up. What we have seen with the enzymes is amazing. Much better than what we saw with the diet. Her focus has improved probably 80 percent. It is nice to have the teacher telling me very day is a good day and bragging on how much progress she is making because that has not been the case in a long time. Also her BMs are regular now, something that has never been true and her sound sensitivity is almost gone. As I said, we have done rounds of tests. Her zinc/copper ratio was OK. There wasn't a problem with amino acids, nothing was really red flag except the viral panel. It showed past and recent activity. The first doctor also told us her titers for measles were high enough she should never need a booster. This doctor also said she showed a mild deficiency in Vitamin A. The doctor we are seeing now was following the DAN protocol, but now has kind of gone in different direction and is pretty much just using glyconutrients. Our family doctor is more than willing to work with me on anything, I'm just not sure what to do. I did give him a copy of your book. I am thinking I'll start the B12 shots after the first of the year. Should I do that first or restart glutathione first? She did well on the IV treatment, called it her " little stick " and didn't seem to mind at all. Do I need to ask my doctor about folinic acid with the B12 shots? We only tried the Zoloft because this summer her anxiety and OCD got so bad. She almost couldn't function for worrying. There is lots of OCD in our family and my husband takes medication for it as well. I am hoping in time we will be able to stop the use of meds, but for now it is helping. We tried meds in the past at the recommendation of a doctor we were seeing, but they seemed to only work for a while then things got worse. This time it has been very different. I know you can't be specific, but I am just trying to figure out what direction I need to take next. Right now I have a happy child who is more " here " than she has been in a while. I just want to keep the progress going. Thanks so much, glutathione question > > > Dr. J.M., > I'd like to know what you think about glutathione and the best way to administer it. My daughter had IV Glutathione treatments for just over a year and we saw some good things. We stopped them this summer because she went into such a regression when our doctor had us try glyconutrients. We stopped everything and started over. > In mid August, we started using Houston enzymes and have seen some pretty amazing improvements with this therapy. We tried a GF/CF diet in the past which was hard because my daughter is older. We have really seen more progress with enzymes. > Now to my question, I am wondering if we should try the IV Glutathione again? I am hearing lots of talk about glutathione. I also have a prescription for B12 shots but we haven't started them yet. > She has been doing so well the last month or so I've just been afraid to rock the boat. Now I think it is time for us to move ahead. > What do you think about the glutathione? I heard somewhere that kids who benefit from the glutathione usually benefit from B12 shots too. Is this right? We also use melatonin at night and she takes 50 mg of Zoloft to help with anxiety and OCD Magnesium is the only other supplement we give. My daughter is 13. > Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. > > > >
Guest guest
Have you tried your child on the Klaire vitamin A? We did not do the two day mega dose, but started our son on the 5 drops a day and it really helped with some of his immune problems. Now I have all four of my sons on the 5 drops a day vitamin A. You may want to consider this in addition to the other. As we all have seen with our kids it is not just one thing, but many that combine to help them get better. And we also use the Houston enzymes. I think they are great too. We have been using the Houston enzymes for almost two years now. We will continue to use them in addition to all the rest, until we get him well. glutathione question > > > Dr. J.M., > I'd like to know what you think about glutathione and the best way to administer it. Guest guest
Does the Klaire come in capsules? My daughter does much better with them. She takes them better than most adults, but really doesn't like liquid. glutathione question > > > Dr. J.M., > I'd like to know what you think about glutathione and the best way to administer it. Guest guest
> Glutathione is good in any form you take it; the new oral liquid > Lipoceutical GSH is very potent Is it possible to take too much? For example, my son is already taking the oral L-GSH as well as the transdermal GSH. Is the LipoGSH a substitute for either of these or an addition to this regimen? Thanks, Lynne
Guest guest
If it is too much, it means that it is making the body detox faster than the child can handle, so dose and frequency should be adjusted accordingly. I know from years of experience with the transdermal that it is very effective; the new LipoGSH is very promising but I still need more experience with it overall to say that is all a child needs. In general, and I've said this many times, if our kids had enough glutathione (along with not being shot up with any more poisons, of course) they would not be autistic, because they would be detoxing themselves to health. Guest guest
From what I understand, the new Lipo form is the most potent. I don't know if you can get too much or not. Guest guest
We still have some issues with vocal stimming and with some OCD. While her language is improving, that is also an issue that remains. We have lots of language, but language is not the same as communication. I may be rushing because we have only been using the enzymes for about four months, so these improvements have taken place in a relatively short time. Overall she is very healthy, hardly even gets sick, but she limits what she eats so much I wonder if she is getting all the nutrients she needs. We do really limit the amount of sugar she gets. That we have been doing for quite a while. We tried the Kirkman enzymes and really didn't see much of anything. Once we got through a little adjustment period with the ones from Houston, things just took off. I do think she has a stronger gut than some of these kids. We have never had really bad diarrhea, but we do battle constipation and have off and one since she was a baby. That is has not been a problem since starting the enzymes. She is also now able to tolerate Epsom Salt baths, which she couldn't do before. I think we are on the right road but I think there are still things we can do. I do wish we had knowledgeable doctor close by because it leaves us trying to figure things out alone. Thank you so much for all you do. If you don't mind my asking, are there any specific tests we should consider with my daughter. As I said we have done bunches of them in the past, but I'm not sure we got much from the experience. My family doctor is willing to help and I'm sure will order whatever test I need. Thank you again. glutathione question > > > > > > > > Dr. J.M., > > I'd like to know what you think about glutathione and the best way to > administer it.
