Guest guest
hi linda, yes, the humor and absurdity in the midst of so much sorrow, i do get it..... loss of your mom, i'm sorry. oh gosh how much we miss our loved ones. my sister died almost 5 years ago, she was sick with lyme as well, and though we lived far apart we'd be on the phone nearly every day, so much support and care through isolation and fear. she was deep and fine, i miss her so much. xoxosusieOMG- funny story (well sorta). One year ago, Jan 1st, I lost my mother (not the funny part). She was sick only 5 weeks and was supposed to pull through. She didn't. My husband and I had been up for days as she was dying. Afterward, I made the comment to my hubby that we had plenty of sleep meds as I was packing up her meds. - not even thinking my husband would ever take any. Since she was taking 300mg, her tablets were 100mg each. Well, in the middle of the night Jan 2, I heard some thumping going on in the bathroom. I flew out of bed and my hubby was floundering on the floor. Asking him what happened, he was able to state that he couldn't sleep so he took a traz! Then he passed out! Our 19 year old daughter had made it into our room by then, and I told her to call 911. Well, that was enough to get my husband back to consciousness - he hates ambulance rides in the worst way! He managed to stand up, and goes stumbling down the hall, bouncing off the walls, makes it to the kitchen and throws up, then stumbles to the sofa and flops down.
