Guest guest
Hello All: I've been silent for while, but reading. I am emailing today with great news! After almost 3 years of casting and braces our little girls is finally brace free! We are SO HAPPY! So for those of you wondering if it will ever pay off, hang in there. For those of you who are new I'll give a quick history. She was diagnosed at 12 months at 19 degrees. Watched until she was 2 1/2 when she suddendly shot up to 35 degrees. She was immediately casted by a local non-Mehta trained doc with good results. We followed with a brace, tried to wean and her curve shot up again. She was again casted by the same non-Mehta trained doc again with good results. She was then braced and began curving again. We switched to Chicago, she was casted again, then braced for a year and is now at 5 degrees at age 6. Thanks for all the prayers and support along the way!
