I typed this information up out of a magazine today and thought I would

share it with you all. It is from a book called I Can Think You Thin by

McKenna. I thought it was interesting but if you don't agree with

what he has said please don't try and shoot the messenger.

East when you’re hungry –

a faster metabolism burns more calories throughout the day, but when you

stop yourself from eating when you’re hungry, your metabolism slows

down so your body can conserve energy.

Eat what you want, not what you

think you should. When you stop resisting and start following your

natural intuitions, you’ll end up eating a fairly balanced diet.

Eat consciously and enjoy every

mouthful. Savour the taste and texture of the food and slow right

down. By chewing each mouthful deliberately and slowly it is almost impossible

to binge. “You can eat whatever you want, whenever you want as

long as you fully enjoy every mouthful,” says.

When you think you are full,

stop eating. Most people experience a gentle, clear, satisfied

sensation in their solar plexus (the area below your ribcage and above

your stomach). Leave a small bit of food untouched at each meal.

Hints for successful slimming:

Make your first response to

hunger a glass of water. You might just be thirsty, not hungry.

Give up weighing yourself –

at least for the first 2 weeks of your new approach to eating.

Stop dieting. “Depriving

yourself of food is the worst possible way to lose weight. And if

what you’re doing isn’t working, you need to do something

different,” says.

Move more. Two thousand

extra steps a day will make the difference between being overweight and

slim.
